Edith + Herbert was created out of a desire to have a Lip Balm that was as pure as possible while still providing the necessary moisture and care that dry lips need.
E+H is evolving from natural beauty products like lip balm and deodorant to herb based products + ritual tools. We began as a natural beauty company so we will continue to sell our hydrating lip balms as well as a variety of other beauty products but our focus going forward will highlight herbs and their amazing benefits as well as ways to help you connect with yourself, nature, your environment, + others.
Everything E+H uses is made with Organic ingredients (even if it doesn't specify it on the ingredients list). All herbs, butters (cocoa, shea, etc.), carrier oils (jojoba, coconut, castor, sunflower, etc.), + essential oils are organically sourced. The wax for the candles is the only exception as soy wax does not come certified organic. The beeswax is from a local to Los Angeles apiary.
You will rarely find ingredients that are not sustainable in our products. We don’t use mica in our lip balms because it is not a renewable resource or sourced in a kind way. We rarely use rose essential oil as it takes TONS of roses to produce one drop. We don’t use herbs that are endangered or over farmed. Our suppliers value sustainability + the Earth, which helps our products stay as nurturing to you as they are to the Earth!
E+H has moved all new herbal products to the quarterly boxes. Each box will represent the time of the year in which it is released. Boxes will feature a variety of herb based self care products such as infused oils, toners, bath tea, masks, etc. as well as ritual tools, energy clearing tools, candles, + other limited items. Check them out as they drop! Quantities are limited ✨
E+H now has ritual + energy clearing tools- some are handmade pottery pieces or candles + others are responsibly sourced. Ritual tools help connect you with yourself, your environment, your intentions, other people, + nature. E+H ritual tools can be used in a variety of ways. Check out our quarterly boxes, incense + candle section, + pottery section for our offerings. Remember- intentions, prayers, crystals/stones/gems are only as good as the action you put behind them. Use them as connectors or reminders.
Edith + Herbert wants you to feel good and smell good - that’s why we have curated a variety of rollers, oils, + candles to do just that! Our scents not only smell good but are created with functionality in mind. Feeling stressed? Try a grounding or relaxing blend. Tired? Try an uplifting or refreshing blend. Happy? Keep it up with a bright or floral blend. With a variety of scents to choose from it’s up to you to decide how you want to smell and feel. Additionally, our herbal products are made with self-care in mind. Check out all of our offering to find what stands out to you!
All E+H products are handmade in small batches in Los Angeles. As a small business, orders may take 7-10 days to process and make, not including shipping. Your patience and understanding is appreciated as each item is made in batches of 15 or less for quality control. We want your products to be the best, un-rushed and full of love.

Our product packaging is either compostable & biodegradable, upcycled, or glass, which can be reused or repurposed. Our products are local, organic, and/or sustainably sourced and fair trade when possible. We ship orders using 100% post-consumer recycled packaging or upcycled boxes and packaging. E+H is working towards making you and the Earth look and feel good! Wondering why we sometimes use plastic tape? We are working on transitioning away from it. The most eco thing to do is make use of what you already have instead of buying new.
